All Parks

Creekside Park, Ben Franklin (Scott Ave) Park, Sugar House Park, and Wheeler Historic Farm act as detention basins. Detention basins temporarily hold water and are part of long-standing plans to mitigate and lessen the impacts of spring runoff.

During spring runoff, it is not uncommon for these parks to fill with water in an effort to protect people and property countywide. To keep everyone safe, parks may close intermittently to car, bicycle, and foot traffic.

Bruce Field Park

Bruce Field Park is a 3.6 acre neighborhood park in Kearns. A former baseball field, the area now offers open space for a variety of outdoor sports. The playground includes accessible surfacing, slides, a climbing dome, and a bulldozer slide structure for younger children.

Dating back to World War II, Bruce Field was as a popular baseball area for soldiers at Camp Kearns to play ball. The redeveloped park was completed in 2015.
