Salt Lake County employees currently lack access to premium generative AI tools that could meaningfully accelerate everyday tasks such as document review, data analysis, and report generation, leaving significant time savings unrealized across the organization. Although awareness of and willingness to adopt these tools is high, the monthly subscription cost creates a barrier that employees cannot overcome without organizational support. This project proposes funding 100 Claude Team licenses for a one-year pilot, distributed through a competitive application process that requires participants to identify specific use cases and commit to monthly ROI reporting. By removing the financial barrier for motivated power users, the pilot will generate real-world data on AI effectiveness within County operations, building the evidence base needed to inform broader enterprise adoption and advance the County's AI for All initiative.
