Salt Lake County offers two medical networks, SelectHealth (IHC) and PEHP (non-IHC). Each network has two types of plans (Traditional PPO or High Deductible). The county pays the entire premium if you enroll in the HDHP plan and a significant portion of the Traditional plan's premium.

IF YOU ARE ENROLLED IN MEDICAL COVERAGE THROUGH SL COUNTY AND ARE FILLING A HIGH-COST MEDICATION, WE STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU CALL GBS Rx ADVANTAGE AT 801-819-7745

Certain medications have been identified as being part of the GBS Rx Advantage program and will have GBS Rx Advantage as the primary coverage.
If you or a dependent has a prescription for one of these medications, you will be contacted by Abbey Leeson or another GBS Rx Advantage Pharmacy Technician.
Abbey will ensure your first fill of the year is processed and then work with you on future fills, either through a Canadian pharmacy or complete the paperwork for manufacturer assistance programs.

Participation in GBS Rx Advantage for specialty medications will be automatic for all County medical plans effective January 1, 2026. Using the Canadian sourcing program is optional.
