Voting for People with Disabilities

All voters deserve to vote safely and securely utilizing a secret ballot. For voters with disabilities, the following options are available:

Vote By Mail

Every active, registered voter will be mailed a ballot three weeks before Election Day for elections in which they are eligible to vote. Voters can complete their ballot and return it via U.S. Postal mail, through a ballot drop box, or at the nearest Election Day vote center. Voters who have difficulty signing their ballot envelope independently may contact our office to receive special accommodations.

In-Person Voting

People with disabilities who wish to vote in person can cast their ballot at any vote center (find the nearest vote center here). All vote centers meet ADA requirements. Touch screen voting machines with assistive technology (audio ballot marking devices) are available at all vote centers.

Electronic Voting

Disabled voters may choose to utilize electronic ballot delivery and return for elections in which they are eligible to vote. Please contact our office to request an email link to receive a secure electronic ballot. Any voter who has additional questions, or would like to discuss further accommodations, please contact our office at (385) 468-7400.
