In-Person Workshop

Board Governance Tools for Organizational Adaptability

Tuesday, July 29
10:00AM - 12:00PM
Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center

Join us for an in-person workshop focused on board governance best practices, with a special emphasis on how to keep your board informed, engaged, and adaptable—especially during times of change or uncertainty.

As many organizations continue to face shifting funding landscapes and external pressures, strong and strategic board relationships are more essential than ever. This session will explore practical tools and strategies for maintaining board engagement, including effective financial reporting, identifying active board members, and forming ad hoc or response committees to support organizational pivots.

Holly Yocum, Partner at Pathway Group, will begin with a presentation on foundational approaches to board engagement. She will be followed by Angela Brown, Executive Director of Craft Lake City and Katie Dwyer, Executive Director at Wasatch Community Gardens, who will both provide some real-world examples of how they put these strategies into action.

Whether you're navigating new challenges or simply looking to strengthen your board’s connection to your mission, this workshop will offer insights you can apply right away.
