Fueling County Vehicles

Salt lake County utilizes two fuel systems:

  • Multi-Force – county fueling sites - a list of county fueling sites can be found at the bottom of this page.
  • WEX – fuel cards that are assigned to assets. The WEX fuel card can be used at most gas stations throughout the state, for oil changes at Jiffy Lube, and for car wash purchased at gas stations.

The county vehicle policy 1350 was updated on March 24, 2022. The new policy requires two forms to be completed when requesting authorization for new employees to fuel county vehicles; these forms are available below.

Wex Fuel Card

Use your Employee ID # (EIN) when the pump prompts you for an ID

Always use the Wex Card assigned to the County vehicle being used.

The Wex Fuel Card may be used at:

  • Any Sinclair fueling location
  • Any retail fueling site that accepts the Wex Fuel Card
  • Car Washes can be purchased with the Sinclair Fuel Card
