Our office believes that we should be an integral part of the Salt Lake County community beyond the critical work of prosecuting crimes. DA Gill regularly visits community councils, civil organizations, and schools to help support and work people who are affected by the work of the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.

School Visits

District Attorney Sim Gill is often invited to interact with the Salt Lake County youth. Because the future of our county lies in the students in our schools, DA Gill takes the opportunity to talk to young people about the importance of civil engagement.

Community Councils

Community Councils are the most granular form of government in Salt Lake County. The councils represent neighborhood democracy and attract those in our community who are willing to volunteer and want to actively have an influence on the direction of Salt Lake County.
