A CJS Case Manager will meet with the client and complete an interview to obtain information. Information gathered may include but is not limited to the following: education/employment history, mental health history, substance use history, community support, etc. It is possible that the case manager will need to reach out to request information from other agencies and references, if so, they will ask you to agree to a release of information.
Following the completion of the interview, the CJS case manager will compile the information into a report which is submitted to the judge who will then make an informed decision regarding Pretrial release.
