Resources

Adult Detox

VOA Utah’s Men's Detoxification Center and the Center for Women and Children are social model detoxification programs, which provide a safe and trauma-informed environment for clients. The non-medical and client-centered detox program serves adults (18 or older) needing detoxification services. Clients must be Salt Lake County residents who meet criteria for a social model detox program and able to manage their own activities of daily living. Clients can stay up to thirty days. At the Center for Women and Children, parenting women may admit with their children (age 10 and under). Clients receive three meals a day, case management services, access to medication-assisted treatment, peer support services and recovery-oriented groups. Qualifying individuals interested in substance use treatment will be linked to partners who provide assessment and referral services.

The cost for the program is assessed on a sliding fee scale. The programs will assist clients without insurance to apply for Medicaid benefits. Both facilities are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For more information regarding admissions or the program please contact the numbers below.
